Dudes, bacon lovers, check this out. This bacon scarf is RAD! I'm getting one myself.

The best thing about it is it's for a good cause, helping out a friend in need. 100% of the profits go to our friend Otto's cancer treatment fund.

It's a win-win – and when you see this scarf, you'll want it... if you truly love bacon, that is.

Here's the image:

The other day I watched Mario Battali make a cream pasta sauce which he then "pinked" using tomato paste, and he had a name for the process, but I can't remember it or it would ba a part of the name for this dish.

I finely minced then heavily browned a half pound of bacon, and drained the fat. While it was browning I whisked in a bowl 1 egg, a half cup of heavy cream, a cup of milk, a cup of chicken stock, and spices (salt, pepper, Herbs de Provence, basil), which I then added to the drained bacon along with about a cup of crushed tomatoes. While these were simmering/thickening, I made a pound pasta, fiori to be exact. For plating, I laid down the pasta, poured all the sauce over the top, and then dressed the plate with about a cup of freshly grated Parmagiana.

Color me sexy.
I'll start. Once, as a kid on a school camping trip? The staff made bacon for breakfast on an campfire grill. It was thick sliced so it wouldn't burn. It came out crispy and smokey and greasy and yummy..and being late risers, my friend and I were standing around the fire just as breakfast was closing down.
There were about three pounds of bacon left . They told us to have as much as we wanted...never suspecting what bacon junkies stood in front of them. It was three pounds of COOKED bacon too.. An entire mountian of perfect slices.
